Have you ever wondered what happens to your digital identity when you die? Learn how to navigate digital death and consider the implications of living in an online world.

In a digital era, many of us have a strong online presence, such as social media accounts, blogs, images and web browsing history. But what happens to this digital footprint when we die? How will our digital assets be managed? These questions have become serious and fundamental to many of our lives.

Understand what death means in the era of digital networks and social media, and how to better prepare for and deal with posthumous data and assets.

In this credential you will:

  • better understand the implications of death in relation to digital assets, including online content and personal communication
  • apply a working awareness of current policies and procedures relating to digital death
  • develop strategies to navigate the demise of family members or employees in terms of their digital traces
  • consider the implications of a digital will for yourself and others
  • complete a pass/fail authentic, industry relevant assessment to provide the opportunity to demonstrate learning mastery.

This credential commences online (4 November) where you’re encouraged to work through the learning materials at your own pace. The credential completes with a face to face session on Thursday 25 November 2021.
