How can we improve our knowledge and skills to reduce the risk of cyber attacks in our organisations?
Did you know there is a hacking attack on IT systems on average every 39 seconds? Or that since the emergence of COVID-19, the US FBI has reported a 300 per cent increase in cybercrime incidents?
With increased global connectivity and many more businesses using cloud technologies, cyber security has become paramount. Cyber threats are now more sophisticated and can target organisations of any size.

We introduce you to the key themes relating to protecting the computers, communications networks, programs and data that make our digital lives possible – collectively referred to as cybersecurity.
Module 2 – Cybersecurity and CIA
What are the main objectives in any effort to improve a computer system’s security? We need to have a clear understanding of the definition of security before we can learn the techniques to achieve security.
Module 3 – Risk and Mitigation
In this module we will learn about the definition of risk and how it should be assessed and mitigated.
Module 4 – Cybersecurity Investment
Using cost-benefit-analysis we explore how an organisation should decide which controls they must implement, which controls can be put on hold and which controls are not worth implementing.
To successfully complete this credential, you are required to pass a final assessment. In this final assessment, you will choose a real-life organisation with IT infrastructure critical to their business and evaluate threats and vulnerabilities.
